2026 Coolblue Experience Store, Geleen – NL

Geleen is a small Limburg town with an unusual past: once home to a major DSM oil refinery, the site has since been transformed into Chemelot, one of Europe’s leading chemical and materials innovation campuses. Today, Geleen blends its industrial heritage with a calm, green provincial character, making it a place where heavy industry and quiet everyday life coexist surprisingly well.

Bulsink is a leading Dutch design‑and‑build contractor specialized in large‑scale retail, hospitality and commercial interiors across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. With a portfolio that includes Coolblue, Rituals, Basic‑Fit, Bever, Decathlon and several international hotel chains, they manage the full project cycle — engineering, planning, construction and commissioning — ensuring consistent quality and predictable delivery across all markets.

On September 1st, together with Solid Systems MRO Elektrotechniek BV, we initiated the full low‑voltage deployment for the new Coolblue store in Geleen, covering CCTV, data networking, intrusion detection and access‑control infrastructure. We have now reached the critical phase of the project: building the server room from the ground up, including rack layout, structured cabling, power distribution, network segmentation and system integration — the technical core that will support all operational systems once the store becomes operational.
