Prices paid for electrical work are hard to nail down because are dependent on many factors, such as labor and material costs. While it can be a relatively quick job for an electrician to fit an outlet or wire your surround sound system, the bulk of your cost lies in the service call-out fee of €100, so it may cost about €125 to €150 for a small job like installing or replacing an outlet. The average cost to install or repair light fixtures, outlets, switches, or fans ranges from €150 to €400 with homeowners spending €280 on average.  Larger jobs such as wiring and circuit breaker installation run €2,000 or more.

Smart home automation systems that integrate into your existing outlets cost between €2,000 and €3,800. For hard-wired systems that require extensive rewiring, the average cost is €7,600, with most homeowners spending between €5,000 and €14,000, depending on the extent of automation desired.

For the commissioning and testing of the smart home automation system and app, access to the internet connection is required. A Wi-Fi router must be available, or the router must be connected to the gateway via a network cable within the structural requirements. Barrier-free access to the necessary facilities/devices (e.g., router, PC, house connection room, etc.) must be ensured by the end customer.
